What if two teenagers accidentally build (and lose) one of North America’s largest fake identity empires? Fakes follows 17-year-old lifelong friends Zoe Christensen (Emilija Baranac) and Rebecca Li (Jennifer Tong) as they set up their businesses and make more money than they know what to do with. Before they even graduate high school, they are raided by the feds when they move into a gorgeous penthouse in downtown Vancouver. One of them goes to jail, the other does not. Each episode is the story of a friend’s ultimate betrayal, often told from conflicting perspectives and regularly breaking the fourth wall. This is a comedy drama series featuring two unreliable narrators, both competing to have the last word.
